We’ve completely redesigned the 2025 Strix SCAR 18 to make upgrading easier than ever, with no-tools required for easy access to the RAM, SSD, and cooling fans. We’ve also integrated the latest Q-latch system into the SSD bay, allowing you to remove and swap out the SSD and RAM in seconds like a professional technician, getting your system back up and running without missing a beat. A custom-designed frame covers the rest of the motherboard to protect other components, but is easily removable with just a few screws for users who want to further customize their build.

We’ve completely revamped the cooling system on the ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2025), using precise calculations to ensure you get the best possible gaming experience every time. We’ve relocated all the vents to the back of the hinge, keeping hot air out of your mouse hand. The sides and bottom of the chassis act as air intakes, allowing for natural and efficient airflow. It also flows over the keypad to help cool your hands during intense gaming. By using an end-to-end vapor chamber, sandwich heatsinks, Tri-Fan technology, and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal on both the CPU and GPU, the ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2025) achieves 45dB less noise in Turbo mode compared to its predecessor, while maintaining the standard of performance you’ve come to expect from an ROG Strix SCAR.
